Pre-Venue Performance Services - Musician/Venue Databases

At the core of all MGN services are the Musician/Bands and Venues Databases, comprised of the Profiles created either by musicians or venues, or MGN. As stated elsewhere, for data acquisition, it is always more important to acquire/create a Venue Profile than a Musician/Band Profile. This is because after all is said and done, musicians and bands above all, need somewhere to perform. It is the ultimate aim of becoming a musician. Therefore, that should MGN's ultimate aim.

Initial Data Acquisition strategies have been covered elsewhere, but once the initial database has been built out, data maintenance should remain a primary priority because of the extremely dynamic nature of the business.

The main difference between the Musician/Band Database (MBDB) and the Venue Database (VDB) is in te Profile Creation Setup Survey. The MBDB is interested in what the person wants to do with their overall career, and fleshing out the specific activities inferred by that; and in the VDB, the survey is interested in making the venue profitable.
