Pre-Venue Performance Services - Event Planner Services

Here is where the professional and non-professional party planners, corporate social event planners, and other managers of "casual" situations, can come to find the "right" band or musician for their specific event or soiree. To distinguish this type of client from agents, is that these types of events are not about the music--live music is one of the many attractions within a larger context: a company party, wedding, barmitzva, baby shower, community picnic, etc., etc.

What MyGigNet can offer people looking for musical entertainment is access to the bands database, a concise manual on "Making the Most of Live Music for your Event," or some such, and access to staging equipment and personnel, if necessary (see below).

MGN's main task is to promote to professional event planners, offering the many advantages of MGN membership, as well as a Profile. Having a profile allows non-professionals trying to "get this task done of booking a band," to find professional planners who could not only book the band, but provide other services and resources for the event. This may be the most practical and efficient way to proceed for the non-professional (MGN would also need to make sure it is "on file" as a resource at companies and corporations). But, for the devout DYI'r, if it's just "booking a band" for the event, they (as well as pros) would come into the same booking module as any booking agent. The module walks them through finding the band, scheduling the band, contracting with the band, and post-event feedback followup.

Because many of these events are one-time only, or annual affairs, a pro-rated non-Profile access fee would be in effect for these people (or may be free), with MGN revenue happening on the band referral and peripheral hires end.

Professional event planners who opt for a Profile, can access the wide spectrum of vendor partners with MGN, who would be useful in event planning and execution. For example:
