Music Education - Personalized Lessons

Two main categories of instructors would be included here: Official MGN online certification teachers, and Mentors.

Teachers participating in MGN's online curricula would be crosslinked to students' member profiles and have convenient interfacing options from text to text chat to video chat to group text and video chats (see Chat / Blog and Tracking & Certification).

Mentors would be individual instructors with their own teaching methods. This could include pro musicians who teach on the side. In this Personalized Lessons Module offers the opportunity for video conferencing. For example, a lucky guitarist member was able to get on Larry Carlton's Mentoring List. Mr. Carlton is based out of Nashville and has an MGN profile, and the MGN member student is in Denver. They both setup two-way video feeds for the lessons. If Mr. Carlton has to raincheck a lesson because of recording commitments, he has the option to reschedule or go ahead and record the next lesson for the student.

These lessons given by celebrity mentors are archived and available to all students as a paid service discounted from Carlton's price, with MGN paid a referral fee.

Such mentoring organizations as American Guitar Academy would be interested partners, and could greatly expand their operations with the MGN infrastructure and admin matrices.

Once a teacher has created a basic Member Profile, the Profile Bot provides a secondary Teaching Profile. In this module the teacher would enter, survey-style, their syllabus and methodology. Any systems of grading, evaluation, or achievement benchmarks would be indicated, and could be cross-linked with each MGN Member Profile who is a student. Homework assignments or field learning opportunities recommend by the teacher would show up as notifications in the student's MP.
