Music Education - Learning Opportunities

A database and search tool for real-world workshops, teaching concerts, seminars and demonstrations would be included here, linked into the main Calendar Module. Wherever the student is in there learning path, MGN robots will suggest nearby real-world events to attend, providing signup and registration capability in partnership with the various sponsors of these events.

For example, Billy Cobham is doing a drum workshop, sponsored by Tama Drums at the Aladdin Theater in Portland. Members who have the matching interest/location profile (all drum students and pro drummers interested in attending drum demonstrations) for this would be notified well in advance of the workshop, and be able to register for it within the Profile Module. Each registration would be instantly forwarded to the registering entity to be logged, verified and invoiced. MGN would then receive a small referral fee.

Competitions would fit well here, such as Guitar Center's "Drum Off," or the Guitar Foundation of America's Guitar Solo Competition. Competitions would also be good in the contexts of Promotion and Performance.
