A teacher or student can arrange and re-arrangement syllabus modules to fit their learning/teaching preferences. Modules would be provded from beginner to advanced for all musical instruments.
For example a would-be student is an intermediate trombonist, who is already an excellent reader, but who wants to improve on their range of techniques. They would be able to choose the relevant modules to achieve what they want to learn. Each module is thoroughly described and includes a good mix of reading, history and audio-video interaction.
If a member is a teacher, they can pull out various modules and put together a syllabus for a prospective student based on the information given in the student's MP. Options for two-way chat, or video conferencing are available for this, crosslinked into the Mentoring conferencing module.
If the member is an Official MGN Instructor, MGN is interested in them supervising and delivering certain modules pertaining to their interests and experience. In this way, if a student member decides to simply follow the MGN syllabus modules in order for a particular instrument, each module would be available from the teachers with the most interest and experience in delivering that module.
For example, Little Timmy just got a brand new shiny trombone for his birthday, and his parents have registered him on MGN as a student. The beginning trombone module is overseen by the MGN Instructor who elects to deliver it. That same teacher may also elect to deliver the intermediate modules, but may not want to teach intermediate reading. Another MGN instructor who elects to do that would take over at the appropriate moment. In this way, the best-inclined teachers are delivering each module.
